E-Typist’s virtual legal assistant jobs allow you to work with one or more clients to provide virtual support and transcribing services. You will need to be available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
All team members are first assigned to the transcription work queue. After demonstrating reliability and commitment, they will qualify for promotion to legal virtual assistant assignments.
Good transcribing skills are a must
E-Typist provides legal transcribing for hundreds of clients, so the ideal candidate will need to quickly demonstrate the ability to transcribe dictation in varying degrees of difficulty, including heavy regional accents, rapid speaking, distorted audio, and background noise. We expect an average turnaround of three times the length of the audio file.
Qualified work at home typists will have excellent grammar and spelling skills, a strong command of the English language and the ability to produce a high quality product. Applicants with a minimum of three years’ legal transcription experience or experience working in a law office setting are preferred.
Transcriptionists and virtual assistants will need:
- A desktop or laptop computer with Windows, MS Office, WordPerfect and Express Scribe programs installed
- An infinity wav foot pedal and awesome headphones (no earbuds, please)
- DSL or other high speed internet connection
- A smartphone.
